CFD Trading Pioneers
Phillip Securities is the first stockbroker to introduce CFDs to Singapore
CFD was originally introduced to aid institutions in the United Kingdom to reduce the cost of trading. It gained popularity very quickly amongst retail investors in the UK and Australia for its ease of use, short selling capabilities and increased trading power with leverage.
With foresight that the Singapore equity market would be well suited for such a trading instrument, PhillipCapital took the lead in introducing CFD trading in Singapore into our wide suite of products to complement our clients’ investment universe.
Since 2003, we have not looked back and continue to focus on providing the best service standards as a Singapore CFD provider to our clients, committing to product innovation and ensuring we continue providing fair dealing and transparent trading experience to our clients.
Some of our product initiatives include introducing Singapore’s first Straits Times Index CFD, which allows clients a trading instrument to effectively track and trade the underlying Singapore market, and also Direct Market Access (DMA) CFD, allowing our clients an additional mode of CFD trading depending on their needs and preferences.
